About Us

Hello! I am Michele. author of Beyond Gluten-Free Cooking, and I am passionate about gut-healthy, allergen-friendly, anti-inflammatory foods and joy in finding new foods to taste and new recipes to mix up. I have fervently sought after more understanding in health, diet and nutrition for over a decade because of gut issues in my own family. The intensity of food reactions, especially in our precious little ones has driven my husband and I to seek God for wisdom, understanding, answers, and direction. God has been faithful and has answered many prayers, in his timing. I praise the Lord for giving me hope and courage to press through the challenges of compromised gut health, Lyme, SIBO and more. I love serving my family as a dedicated wife and homeschooling mother of 5 children, gardening vegetables, fruit, and berries, and caring for and managing our flock of Welsh Harlequin and Pekin ducks, Chinese Geese and quail on our little homestead nestled in Amish country, Lancaster county.
